Pan Seared Ribeye Steak
- Drizzle of olive oil
- Pinch of parsely
- Chopped Tomato
- Your favourate steak rub
- 1 Ribeye steak, 1 inch thick
- 1 Onion, sliced thin
Season steak with your favourate rub for an hour.
In a small bowl, mix some butter and 1 teaspoon of your favourate rub.
Transfer butter/rub mix to a sheet of grease proof paper, roll, and refrigerate for 1 hour. Remove steak from the refrigerator
Heat up the skillet on the grill.
Smoke the steak for 10 to 20 minutes.
Bring BBQ to around 200c (400f) and when up to temperate, sear steak 1 to 2 minutes per side.
Add 3 tablespoons of butter ½ to 1 tablespoon at a time, tilting the pan, and using a spoon to baste the steak.
Continue searing, adding and basting with butter for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
Remove steak from the skillet, rest for 5 minutes, then serve warm with additional butter/rub mix (or plain butter) and fresh herbs.
